Brandied Fruit
Use this to add a flavor boost to cocktails

- Raisins - 8 oz
- Dried cranberries - 8 oz
- Dried cherries - 6 oz
- Dried apricots, thinly sliced - 2 oz
- Orange - 1
- Lemon - 1
- Fresh ginger, grated - 2” piece
- Anise seeds - 1 tsp
- Black pepper, freshly ground - 1 tsp
- Grated nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- Ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- Ground cardamom - 1/4 tsp
- Brandy - 1 cup
Thinly slice lemon, remove seeds, and chop.
In a large bowl combine all dried and chopped fruits, ginger, seeds, and spices.
Zest the orange into the bowl. Juice the orage and add to bowl.
Add the brandy to the bowl and stir everything together.
Tranfer mixture to a large, sealable jar, cover, and refridgerate for 7-14 days. Rotate the jar every day to coat everything in the liquid.
